On thursday evening, the National Museum in Tripoli was reopened to the public. Hundreds of people gathered to celebrate the occasion!
Amazing Marble Statues
As I enjoyed the National Museum of Tripoli, my favorite pieces were the unbelievable ancient marble statues. From around 2000 years ago, these pieces of art are well worth a visit. Although I am not a historian, I was amazed at what the ancient civilizations had created.
Coins & Clay
AS you continue in the exhibit, you will enjoy a wide variety of ancient coins. Take a trip back 2000 years to the marketplace where people used these coins to buy and sell. You will also enjoy the clay artifacts including some unique bowls and lamps.
Libya Continues to Prepare for Tourism
The reopening of the museum is just one more step that Libya has taken towards fully reopening its tourism sector. Libya has so much to offer and over time will be a destination on the “must visit” list.
